Last week Brookline was thrilled to coordinate the media relations for the Grand Opening of the Calgary International Airport’s new parkade. The parkade was officially opened when Bob Schmitt, Senior Vice President Planning and Engineering, YYC, and Gord Lowe, Deputy Mayor, cruised through the gates in a YYC Ford hybrid SUV. After nearly two years of construction, the new parkade will provide an additional 1,930 covered stalls, just in time for holiday travellers.

The event was the final phase of YYC’s Parking Made Easy initiative, developed by Brookline. Parking Made Easy launched in November with a kick-off announcement of Express Pay, a new automated pay-to-park system. The initiative also included an integrated advertising campaign.
