In the spirit of honouring, learning and celebrating National Indigenous History Month, Brookline PR is #BPRGrateful to welcome Chief of Enoch Cree Nation, Chief William (Billy) Morin Nahtokitopi (Sacred Rider) Wapikihew (White Eagle), to the Beyond PR Podcast.
As the youngest Chief in Enoch Cree Nations’ modern history, Chief Morin has helped champion many causes inside and outside of his home First Nation during his three consecutive terms. From ReconciliACTION to the resurgence of the Nehiyaw Cree language, culture and identity in Enoch, Chief Morin’s impactful efforts as Chief awarded him the role of Grand Chief – the collective voice of all Chiefs of the 17 First Nations within the Confederacy of Treaty Six.
Needless to say, Chief Morin was just the guest to join Shauna in this timely discussion about leadership, reconciliation and the importance of community. With his captivating storytelling, Chief Morin shares what it means to him to bare the responsibility of so many leadership roles. As well, we learn more on how to collectively move forward in reconciliation for Canada and Indigenous Peoples.
