Swoop, Canada’s preferred ultra-low-cost carrier and subsidiary of WestJet Airlines Inc., was introduced into the Canadian market in 2018 and is making air travel more affordable for Canadians due to its unbundled model and low-price fares. The Swoop team initially approached Brookline to manage reactive communications program. A strong working relationship was established, and Brookline’s work expanded to oversee proactive and reactive communications, influencer partnerships, and sponsorship opportunities.
Notably, Brookline supported the airline in announcing its launch of five inaugural flights out of the Winnipeg Richardson International Airport. Brookline led all media and influencer relations efforts as well as assisted in planning and logistics with Swoop and the Winnipeg Airport. From speaking notes to cupcake art, the announcement was positively received by Winnipeg media, community members, and key airport and airline stakeholders.
